Introduction to CBT
Increase your understanding of what CBT (Cognitive Behaviour Therapy) is and how it can help you recognise negative or unhelpful thoughts and behaviour patterns. CBT aims to help you identify and explore the ways your emotionsand thoughts can affect your actions. During this 5 session course you will have a greater understanding of the methods and concepts delivered in CBT that will challenge and change your thinking to support a positive shift in your behaviour.
Topics include: overview of what CBT is; making the 'Thought-Feeling' link; the power of positive thought; identifying healthy and unhealthy thought; the power of positive self-talk; identifying the inner expert; exploring fear and avoidance and goal setting.
